Anberlin is a Florida-based alternative rock band that was formed in 2002 formerly known as SaGoh 24/7.The band is also considered as a Christian rock band because all of the members of Amberlin are Christians aside from being a part of a Christian label Tooth & Nail Records and they do have a Christian element to their music which contains apparent religious references. The band has released three full-length albums in five years.

Never Take Friendship Personal is their second album released in February 2005 and the album's title was obtained from the departure of the original guitarist of the band Joey Bruce. This album was chosen as one of Amazon.com's Top 100 Editor's Picks of 2005.
